perhaps a long-lost cousin

Not long ago, I discovered this great site, whose name resembles my own Sandwich Lover's Club. The Sandwich Club is entertaining, and a great idea that can be carried worldwide. I thought of it when I made a sandwich today; I just couldn't do it. It was so beautiful. Of course it was my own; now the moment I see a friend or relative this holiday, it's on like Donkey Kong! I will be very tempted to smash a fist into their sandwich. And because I want a free t-shirt.

carbs really can hurt

I've always seen cartoons and sitcoms where someone serves some bread and it's as 'hard as a rock.' I never thought people would actually keep bread around long enough for that to happen, but supposedly some people[ :\ ] do!

Earlier today, I was loading the dishwasher when I heard a loud 'thump' sound from the pantry. I even felt the vibes on the floor where I was standing. I checked out the pantry and noticed that a loaf of french bread had fallen from a few shelves above. When I took the bread out of the bag, it was rock solid! I mean, not even a soft spot on the underside of the loaf. This thing could be dangerous in the wrong hands, so I tossed the weapon out after we had a bit of fun with it.

But I'm so proud. It's the first I've had to make, and it took every bit of my soul to refrain from eating as I made them. I had to dig deeper than I ever have. I had to use the force.

Maybe I'm 'trowin some drama into it. They weren't anything to drool over; their construction and ingredients were exceedingly simple. But I still love them as if they were my own instead of a bunch of ungrateful whiners.

finally, a decent sandwich

it's been...over a month without a good sandwich! I mean, I'm thankful for any sandwich that comes along, but dammit all! I really appreciate a good sandwich. Like with stuff from the deli. I know it's not the bomb or anything, but you just don't know! It's been so long since I've had a sandwich even of this nature. Lawd'v mercy!

I have found a long lost friend...

...my digital camera! It has claimed its victory over my pathetic ass in a desperate game of 'peek-a-boo.' Isn't it crazy how you find something (or it finds you) when you've given up hope to find it? Seems to add proof to my theory. About love. And happiness. And sandwiches.

So I may just be posting some pics up in this pretty soon.
